Review by hotel critic
Upon our arrival at Candlebark Retreat, we were warmly greeted by Fleur, surrounded by nature in our cozy cabin, complete with every convenience for a relaxing stay. the private outdoor dining areas with a fire pit provided the perfect setting for memorable evenings under the stars. the peace and quiet of the property, coupled with the lush surroundings, made us feel worlds away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The array of activities available, from cycling to hiking, ensured that we could fully immerse ourselves in the serene surroundings. the free WiFi, though limited to certain hours, allowed us to stay connected when needed. the cabin itself, with its rustic charm and homely feel, was a welcome retreat after a day of exploration. Although the queen-sized bed and doona were comfortable, a king-sized doona would have been a nice touch for added warmth during the chilly nights. the private bathroom, equipped with a shower and complimentary toiletries, offered a touch of luxury amidst the rural setting. the terrace and barbecue facilities were a delightful addition, perfect for enjoying a meal al fresco. the tranquil ambiance, coupled with the attentive hospitality of Salty and Fleur, created a truly unforgettable experience. From the charming decor to the picturesque views, this hidden gem in Beechworth is a must-visit for those seeking a peaceful and private getaway in the heart of nature.
